Started by Jeremy Fox and pro skater Geoff Rowley, Flip opened in 1991 as Deathbox in England. The company soon moved to Los Angeles, California in 1994 and changed its name to Flip Skateboards. Thereafter, it gained a reputation for high-quality boards and equipment over the years, surpassing many other seasoned companies. The brand also gained notoriety for its unique board art. Flip Skateboards sponsors many pro skaters throughout the world, including Legends like Bob Burnquist and Tom Penny. Made with a wide range of concave or convex bends, Flip boards feature 7 ply maple wood construction for maximum durability.
