101 Skateboards was founded by Natas Kaupas (after leaving SMA) & Steve Rocco in 1991. It was apart of World Industries running through the 90’s & call it in 1997. Natas used 101 as a platform for his graphic & artistic talents while still putting time in on the board.
101’s video parts through the early 90’s were fresh for the time, having riders the likes of Natas Kaupas, Eric Koston, Adam McNatt, Clyde Singleton, Gino Iannucci, Jason Dill, Gabriel Rodriguez, Kris Markovich, Andy Stone, Leigh Peterson and Marcus McBride.
They are known for their stand out, classic & sometimes controversial graphics, 101 Heritage offers re-issues of their originals with the same art & shapes as the OG’s.
